CLEVELAND, OH.- The Print Club of Cleveland’s Fine Print Fair, the city’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition of fine prints, returns for its 28th year beginning Friday, September 28, and continuing through Sunday, September 30, at Corporate College in Warrensville Heights.

A highlight of this year’s Fine Print Fair will be a program on Sunday, September 30, which includes a breakfast with art dealers and a lecture by Dr. Heather Lemonedes, curator of drawings at the Cleveland Museum of Art, who speaks about Mary Cassatt and the Feminine Ideal, an upcoming exhibition at the museum opening on October 13.

The Fine Print Fair is the oldest print fair in the United States and will feature 14 dealers from across the United States exhibiting and selling fine prints, drawings and photographs of five centuries, from old masters to contemporary. The event also offers special programs including lectures, printmaking demonstrations and hourly door prizes. Dr. Jane Glaubinger, curator of prints at the Cleveland Museum of Art, will be at the Fine Print Fair all weekend to assist visitors with questions and selecting art. ICA art Conservation, the nation’s oldest regional fine art conservation center, will also be on-site both days to provide advice on the preservation and conservation of works of art on a paper.

A work by Judy Pfaff, Untitled (#9), valued at $2,600, will be raffled during the fair. The print is donated by Judy Praff and Tandem Press. Raffle tickets are $5 (six for $25) and can be purchased by calling (216) 707-2579. Winner need not be present at the Sunday afternoon drawing.

The Fine Print Fair benefits the department of prints at the Cleveland Museum of Art and is sponsored by the Print Club of Cleveland, a nonprofit auxiliary organization dedicated to supporting the museum’s print collection. A ticket price of $10 ($5 for students with I.D.) covers entrance to the fair both Saturday and Sunday.
